My roof is less than 3 years old. It was done 1 week before we closed on our home.
Last week I noticed damage from a leak on my interior wall. I contacted the contractor who grudgingly sent out one of his guys who sealed the multiple spots on my roof. My question is this, is the contractor responsible for the damage to my interior walls caused by the leaks?

It really all depends on what the contract says. What was the labor warranty? Is it transferable? I'm sure this differs depending on the region, but in Texas the typical labor warranty is 2 years and our contracts at least did not allow for the warranty to transfer.

If you can prove the the contractor is liable then yes, he should fix it. If he's reputable he will. If it's no longer under warranty though, you're out of luck.

Oh, and don't confuse the 20+ year manufacturer's warranty with the contractor's warranty.

You need to read the contract. Some will have a disclaimer clause that covers only the repair of the roof and not damages caused by the leak. These are the type contracts that end up in court. If several spots needed to be repaired, I think you have a legal gripe.
