Yes. Various publishers buy rights for certain areas and have their own ideas about cover art, interior art and so forth. If you look up any of the previous six books on a site like Amazon, you can see this.
Of course it has to be translated for non English-speaking markets too.

Names of characters and places might want to selection, reckoning on the language although the plot could proceed to be an same. this isn't fairly particular although, because i recognize for a incontrovertible actuality that some countries are very smooth on some matters and entire paragraphs may be censored. i lately study an editorial how contained in the classic literature translated in Turkey all significant characters are represented as Muslims - even Les miserables, the three musketeers, Pinocchio and Tom Sawyer. humorous, huh?

normally they dont do..but there was something extra in the US Edition of 6th book..described the Draco-dumby's conversation a little bit more from which we may think that dumby faked his death..well UK Edition did not have those dialogs..so maybe they differ by the country a little bit

do you mean language???? I would say in that sense they do. I live in germany, and we have the books in english and german around my house.
Although my kids like to watch the films when they first come out, I rather wait and see the film in english on DVD.
There is always something to be desire when meaning is lost in translation . . .

Only slightly. The wording, of course must be slightly mangled in translation, but aside from that only the covers are different.

I wouldn't think so. It'd be kinda dumb to have different books for different countries, other than the printed language, of course.

though the story line will not change, there may be certain changes according to the language which it is printed in.
