Red kangaroos and grey kangaroos live in groups called mobs. These are often family groups with all the females related. There is a mob of eastern greys in a valley near here with about 30 animals. Some species of kangaroo, particularly some of the wallabies, are more solitary but in the main, kangaroos are gregarious.
