Blake is my personal favorite, but I was a little surprised, not shocked that Melinda left first. I just dont think she appeals to the younger set as much. She is more an adult favorite. Just a thought. However, I'm 55 and love Blake. I like her too, but Blake has a uniqueness about him, I think.

His beat boxing got really old, thats all he mostly did when he was singin. I even think the judges got tired of hearing it all the time. I think Chris was better then he was. I still cant' belive Melinda went home though. Blake doens't have the talent that she has. I think in the future you'll see more of Melinda and not so much of Blake.

Blake is a great performer. But come on people, this is a singing competition. There's no way he's a better singer than Melinda. But hey, Americans voted for Bush...do you really expect them to vote for the right Idol?

blake is good but no where near better than melinda or jordin in the beginning the beat boxing was like "wow thats cool" and i'm glad he didnt do it throughout the entire show because he'd have been gone but at this point i'm sick of it... we all know he can do it and when he gets a record deal its obvious that will be his gimmick
he should be gone and next week it should be melinda vs. jordin

I hope he wins. There have been some great singers, but I think they didn't make it because they aren't as unique in style. it's kinda all been done. But Blake has a great voice, (kinda sexy, laid-back jazzy, think Sting! kinda vibe), & he's different. Some people maybe are tired of the beat-boxing, but that's part of the way he is, & if it works, keep workin'. (that's how Haley's mediocre talent stayed in as long as it did, she used the legs bit.) But Blake Lewis is actually very good- talented and unique. He's taken major risks & changed up song arrangements, and- it works. Go, Blake!

I liked him in the beginning, but as the weeks went on, he was so one-note with the beatboxing that I got bored and started to find him cheesy. I think it should have been two girls in this year's finale: both Jordin and Melinda have amazingly powerful voices and can sing anything. But "American Idol" hasn't really been about a singing competition since season one with Kelly Clarkson.

I like Blake. I've liked him from the beginning. He's so unique. I like how he does the be box but he doesn't do it in all the songs. He's really good. I'm glad that he's going to be in the finales.

Blake is okay his beat-boxing does nothing for me (maybe becuase I am 57 yrs. old) but I thought his "talent and his entertaining is good" Jordin sings so beautiful I don't care if she sings 40's songs or 60's songs she can sing.
It did surprise me that Melinda left, I was hoping that it would have been Melinda and Jordin left to sing.

GRRRRRRR, that is what I felt when Melinda was voted off. There is no way that Blake belongs in the top two, he didn't even belong in the top 3. It should have been Melinda, Jordin and Lakisha. I am not happy with the results. Booooooooo!!

I can't see how everyone thinks Blake and Jordin suck. I think they are both awesome and deserve to be in the finals.
