broke ribs, as in broke the bones..Did it 8 wks ago and they don't feel any better..Anyone who has broke a rib,please let me know how long it took to heal.Thank you!

Twice I have had broken ribs, and the pain stayed strong for six months on and off, and at least a year before some activities did not cause pain.
Have you seen a doctor because after eight weeks you should be feeling better.

I'm not sure about broken ribs, but I bruised my rib a while ago and it didn't stop hurting for about two months and it didn't stop being tender to pressure for about four months total.

my aunt broke some ribs in a car wreck, and it took months for them to heal. every time she would cough, she would scream out in pain. i feel for you. sorry i couldn't tell you it won't be much longer.
