I guess I should blindly believe whatever the government says and think that it is good and march in lockstep with those that can not think for themselves.

There is nothing wrong with expressing dissent. However, in wake of the 'you're either with us or against us' rhetoric people seemed to be skewed in their understanding of what it means to be a citizen.
Whoever said that is not as good an American as they think they are.

demanding question. the U. S. authorities already filters the information superhighway for kiddie porn. Do i need kiddie porn? No, yet I also do not want my authorities finding out what i'm attending to work out. If i mandatory my authorities to filter out my information superhighway get entry to, i might want to flow to China the position they can't get any information from CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, PBS, NBC, FOX, BBC, Al Jazere, Le Monde, and so on... In China, each of the international information is "tainted" and the purely authentic information is the info from the chinese authorities. LOL might want to I hit the streets? If we don't like something about our country we try to work and solve it... we do not throw the baby out with the bathwater just because it is dirty.

They're willing to offer unquestioned loyalty to the government but are not willing to admit that such action is a function of a fascist state not a democratic one.

For 8 years the Republicons attacked President Clinton and that was acceptable.
There are some Republicons vowing to leave the USA if Hillary is elected, and for that reason alone, I am voting for her!

I remember a bumper sticker from the Viet Name days. It said "My country, love it or leave it". I recall thinking "I have free speech, why would I leave something that I believe I can have a say in".

We we do have free speech---and although I may not agree with what you say------I might defend your right to say it.
However flagitious may be the crime of conspiring to subvert by use of the liberal news media the government of our country, such conspiracy is not treason. Thats not justification.
