They've been married for 7 years and dated 3 years prior to their marriage. She has been cheating during their entire relationship. She told him during their divorce that he ruined her life. Now that they're back together, they argue all the time and don't have sex. He thinks she's cheating again, because she's showing the same signs from last time. They broke up in January of 2006 and got back together this January (2007). Their divorce was almost final.. all that was left was her signature on the final paper work, he had already signed.
I hope these extra details help.

In my experience, and sad that I have experience in this. They come back after a time usually because they are "comfortable" with the old. My X cheated on me after 13 years of marriage. I packed his bags for him and filed for divorce the same day. We were almost divorced, and he decided he wanted to come back and I stupidly let him. I was miserable and he was never happy. We stayed together another 7 years and it was the worst 7 years of my life. They day I was granted my divorce, a tremendous weight was lifted from my shoulders and it was then that I realized how oppressed I truly had been. If she has been cheating all along and just the fact that he suspects it, states there is no trust in the marriage. I wasted 20 years of my life in a bad marriage. We fought all the time. I would never waste another minute that way.

He loves her and she decided life was better with him than without. As you say, she filed for divorce. He probably didn't want one in the first place.

She loves him. I don't know why you think this is so strange unless you had some romantic feelings for this guy, and now have lost out. Many men cheat on their wives over and over, but ultimately, want to remain married to their wife. And the wife wants to remain married to hubby. Perhaps there's a need there that isn't filled by one person. Excitement, drama, the adrenaline of the hunt. Your guess is as good as mine.

believe it or not, some people do cheat and leave then realize it's not what they want and/or need....they take it as a learning experience....it's rare but it does happen.....and when you marry someone and have a child with that person it's not easy to let go.....i'm only 21, have a 2 1/2 yr old daughter and filed for a divorce....now in my case he was the cheater but still when you have that life it's hard to just turn away completely....

I don't know the entire circumstance, but i know people make mistakes and if he is confident that she learned from it and wants to make the family work, far be it for us to tell him he shouldn't. If they can make it work and be happy, they should. But on the other hand, if they are forcing themselves to stay together for the sake of the child, that is wrong.. Children pick up on unhappiness and I personally think it's worse to make a child live in an unhappy home than have seperated parents.

I've seen that happen with two couples I personally know in the past five years. You would think, "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me". Some people have big hearts and have an easy time forgiving others. I think it's nice for people to repair the relationship, but if it ever happened again, the men should never take those women back.

They may have still love each other. she may have felt lonely and found no one to talk to because she loved her husband and wanted to work out things, but they got to close and she needed someone to hold her.
I don't know why she cheated in this relationship, but there was a problem somewhere that needed to be worked through.
And it takes two to make a relationship.
He may have taken her back because he understood what the problem was.
But some people just cheat because they want too... who knows why she did...
I hope there marriage works...

A guy would only go back to that because he is a complete moron who has no self esteem.
Oh, and are you sure they have a child together. If she has been cheating the whole time, the kid may not be his. Has he had a DNA test?

and let me guess you are the one she cheated on with asking this question? well in all reality man if they want to be back together their better than the average married couple who would not tolerate infidelity.
basically they are getting back together more or less because they have a child and want to raise the kid together as a family and try to work out their issues. i personally was involved with marriage problems myself but i was the cause and we worked it out. it just depends on the person.

been there.... cant answer for this guy....but i some how thought that i caused my wife to cheat, and i wanted to be a better mate to her..... i was wrong she cheated again....but if it works out for this guy I'm happy for him, divorce is rough, my wife and i have filed and been to court more then once and tried to "fix" things but in the end sometimes you need to take the big step and cut your lost, move on with life.
