I know he is signing up for profiles, but he has started deleting history and stuff from the computer when he gets off of it. How can I see what he is looking at? I have heard that Google desktop keeps these files, is that true? Even if he deletes them? Or is there a babysitter program that can email me what sites he visits?

(1) Try system restore
Or

(2) On XP, click Start, and Search, then For Files & Folders, and All Files & Folders, now enter "index.dat" in the Filename field. Before searching:

Limit the search to C: drive using the Look In drop-down.
Check the following options using the More Advanced Options line:
Search System Files
Search Hidden Files & Folders
Search Subfolders
Click Search.
Be amazed at how many "index.dat" files there are.
Minimize the Search Results window.
You need a tool to read the index.dat files. They are NOT text files.

Super WinSpy is one such reader. Or search Google for "index.dat reader". (Right-click on the Google link and select Open in New Window).
Download the software, check it for viruses (as you do for all downloads) and install it. Start the program. You can enjoy different Histories, using the button provided.

Personally, I think its crappy that you would do that to spy on him. If you know that he is signing up for stuff, just confront him about it.
I dont know much about Google desktop, but I am sure there is a way of deleting files from there too.

You shouldn't have to spy on your husband. Maybe you just need to have a talk with him and give him an ultimatum. Ask him what you can do to help him or what you aren't doing. Don't make this a personal attack. Just be supportive and as positive as you can. Communication is the only solution.

simple, you want to view the history, which should be up at the top of your tool bar when you are on your internet homepage. now if you have the new internet explorer then it isnt goin to be very clear where to do that at, but you go to view, explorer bar, history. or for a shortcut you can press ctrl+shift+h. but if he has been deleting his history then you wont know what he has looked at!

Of course it's easy to see what anyone looks at. But it's wrong. If you can't ask him what he hiding and have him tell you honestly. You have no business being with him.

Privacy is a fundamental right enjoyed by everyone and you can face legal action.

There's probably some good divorce lawyer sites you could visit. Because why bother staying together since you obviously don't trust him at all.

Why don't you just ask him. If your relationship is not built on trust...you may as well pack it n now and save you both a lot of heartache down the line.

Why don't you just ask him? Trust and honesty is the foundation of every relationship. Without it you might as well hang it up.
