I have a Gigabyte GA-7VT600-L motherboard, I'm upgrading my RAM and want to know if dual channel memory will work on a non dual channel motherboard. And also whats the difference?
What about if it's just one stick of RAM thats dual channel compatible? I found it on ebay and unsure weather to buy or not.

yes, it will work in single channel mode if the memory is compatable with the motherboard.
giga-byte boards are usually pretty good with ram but you can check the compatibility list at the manufactures website.

Ram is ram, as long as it is the correct type for your computer. Duel channel ram is just ram that is from the same batch has the same case latency or in other words is pretty much identical. But, it should work in a non duel channel machine just fine.
