What is it that you see that is just a shame when it comes to relationships these days. For me I think its what seems to be a lack of connection between people. Its shocking how much people have such distence between each other.Values and priorities almost. Its like once the highs gone there's nothing left for them to do.So what do think is the biggest relationship flaw in this culture (Greed, laziness, selfishness, people being unconcious or the culture of how we treat each other)? And do think we make things harder for our selves then we should? Do relationships have to soo hard? Thoughts?

I don't think much has changed over time, but I do see an increase in lack of committment. Relationships have become easily disposable. People don't need to compromise or communicate well with this philosophy. I also see far too much emphasis put on sex, and not enough on honesty. It's a shallow cultural change. But some people still are holding tight onto their values!

Definitly finances and how you deal with them. I'm engaged to be married and this problems reared its ugly head alot as is. Especially if your way of dealign with it differs. I just don't worry about it, If I'm broke and have done all I can and got my bills paid then I don't worry about it. My fiance on the other hand has a nervous breakdown and makes everyone elses life miserable. We fight about money alot as I have a hard time understanding what the big deal is after the bills are paid. Its really stressful all I ever hear about is "OMG I have 40 dollars to last me until payday" (which is two days away). Not sure why money became more important than being content with life but okay.

I think the biggest thing today in relationships is trust especially when a couple split then the girlfriend got pregnant by someone or the boyfriend got someone pregnant and now you too are back together again now thats stressful but either way it goes the other person have to deal with the other person baby even if you do not want, but then you do if you plan on being with this person

Lack of commitment and lack of communication. If you have these two things, you can work through just about anything. People are too quick to give up and walk away rather than try to do the work to make things better. A relationship takes compromise as well and people don't seem to want to give up anything. I guess people find it easier to leave than to work things out. It's very sad to me.

I think that true commitment to the other person is gone. It doesn't mean hanging on like super glue, but being there emotionally and spiritually all the time. Too many people see "things" as a measure of one's worth, without truly learning about the other person. This is sad, because it creates a false image of the bigger picture. You see less and less value placed on morals and common decency.
