i heard that the china government want cricket to be a popular sport in china. they approve of cricket more then baseball. image China v India in a world cup final. how many fans would watch that match

Just because cricket become popular in China, it will not be popular in the world. If cricket has to become popular in the world, more and more countries should start playing cricket

Football is already very popular in China. I just can't see the Chinese people taking to cricket the way people from the Indian sub-continent have. Cricket is well suited to Indian culture, but football is better suited to oriental culture. Just look at how popular football is in Asian countries besides India/Pakistan etc.

I don't know the Japanese and Chinese prefer baseball I believe,no hope in North Anerica But with T20 you never know the whole of South America, Europe and Africa will start hating football for some reason and turn to cricket.Or do they need a Super 8s cricket?

it is not gonna happen in the near future.
look at soccer in the US, even though it is a popular sport in other countries, most people in the US are not interested in soccer.
cricket is probably unknown to many chinese. so it will take many many years, before it become popular in china.
besides, the number 1 sport in China is still soccer. it is unlikely that all the crazy men will abandon soccer for criket.

Seems like two questions. 1. If China played cricket would it be most popular sport in the world? Answer - Not sure really, maybe, maybe not. 2. If so how many people would watch it? Answer - six hundred and seventy three million, five hundred and ninety six thousand, four hundred and sixty seven.

Chines are so cool in everything that they would hardly try to make this game popular around the world...they usualy keep their business...But yes if they could manage to give this game such status in their country then it would be a good addition in this game..and about India vs chines .then surely i would love to watch that final ( if i could manage to survive by that time...as it woud take much much longer for such thing to happen).. and there i would definitey support China lol !
