Glad to hear you're seeing a doctor in the morning. Alot of people here on Yahoo Answers seem to have no intention of going to see a Dr.!
So what to do until then.....
I'm 33 weeeks along now. My feet and legs have been swelling. It started several weeks ago but was rare. Now it seems to happen every day. The doctor said if it happens in the afternoon/night it is probably normal. If it happens first thing in the morning or very suddenly, it could be a sign of danger. In the meantime, you can try the following:
Dr. recommended eating lots of watermelon. It's a great diuretic.
Avoid salt and greasy stuff.
Keep your legs elevated whenever possible. I stick about 5 pillows under my legs when I'm in bed reading or watching TV.
Don't cross your legs when sitting.
Keep your legs moving when you are sitting or standing for long periods. Get up and move around frequently.
Give yourself (or even better, find someone to give you) gentle leg massage. You want to start from the feet and work your way up. You can use some lotion or aloe vera gel or natural oil to make the massage smoother and more comfy. I had my partner use some minty "cooling gel" the other night and it felt great. Right after the massage you could see indents in some places where the swelling had started to go down.
Your hands tingling could be some nerve compression/irritation because of the swelling. I just read an article the other day about how common carpul tunnel is during pregnancy.
Good luck with everything and wish you the best at the doctor's!

I wouldnt worry - your very pregnant right now. Swelling is normal. Preeclampsia/eclampsia swelling is very different than normal swelling....(I was preeclampsic & eclampsic) Basically, you cannot put on a bracelet because your hands are so swollen, your ankles are larger than your calves.
The tingly & numbness is also normal. One thing pregnancy does is increase carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, things like this. It has something to do with the hormones - but its been 5yrs and I dont remember exactly why. But I had the tingling, the numbness in my toes & my carpal tunnel got really really bad. Along with the swelling I had probs holding a pen.
Dont worry, your fine. Ask your doc & I'm sure he'll tell you the same.

SOO familiar - mine started at 5 months though! It's perfectly normal, I was alway told to keep off feet and feet elevated and stay away from salts. None may help but it's worth the try. GOOD LUCK and CONGRATS

Your doctor will want to check your blood pressure - if the swelling came on suddenly it could be a sign of pre-eclampsia. Have you had headaches? Visual disturbances like little floaty spots?
Swelling is often normal, but if you didn't have much before and it suddenly came on, then that is somewhat troubling, and I am glad you are being seen by doc today.

It's totally normal, I was 34 weeks when it started and it was hell!
Make sure you are drinking lots of water, I know it sound silly but it actually helps. Of course, elevate your legs and don't stand for long periods of time. Walking might help, it might make it worse, depends on the day for me.
My hands are KILLING me, they look like sausages, but the numbness is from the swelling compressing your median nerve inside your wrist (just like carpa tunnel syndrome).
Don't worry, it's normal!

Sounds like when I had toxemia with my first pregnancy. Try to rest with your feet elevated until your doctor's appointment. Take the time to read a book or watch a few movies... you won't have time for those little luxuries when baby comes!

It's normal to swell especially towards the end. Drink plenty of water and keep your feet up. I never swelled that much but my sister looked like she was turning into a balloon.

You are probably retaining water. Although this is not good, many pregnant women go through this late in pregnancy. Talk to your doctor about it, not much can be done, but to have that beautiful bundle of joy! Congrats!

yes its normal..... the closer you get the more swollen you get...
try keeping your feet up as long as possible. see if dh can rub them to keep good circulation going. try to stay away for high sodium foods (salt) and drink plenty of water..
its almost over :)
just make sure to mention it to doc, even though im sure they will be able to see... make sure all checks out....
