In 1967 Dionne Warwick sang the song "Alfie" from the movie of the same name, also Cher did a take on it, also in the 60's. I think thats the song you mean, however, if there is a new version of it, I haven't heard it. I know the oldies and originals, not too many newer ones, sorry.
