I'm supporting former Sen. Mike Gravel. Why?
1) He will get us the hell out of Iraq immediately.
2) He supports the Fair Tax and the abolition of the Income Tax. (www.FairTax.org)
3) Hes not a typical politics-as-usual vote-whore. He has clear, firm ideas and isnt prostituting himself to every lobbyist and special interest group that comes along. He has REAL ideas for real change which we desperately need.

I haven't a clue. With the elections still 18 months away I am not paying real close attention to who is running. There seem to be more and more people running. On the democrat side there is Hilary (I would not vote for her if you paid me), Obama, I don't know where he stands and I assume there are others though you never hear about them. On the Republican side there are 9 or 10 people running some have run previously and so I know something about them others are new to me. I assume over the next several months that we will come to know all of these people better. What I want to know is are there any independent candidates out there? I really want to hear what they have to say. The two major parties have clearly ran out of steam. No new ideas. Just more blaming each other for anything that goes wrong in the country. So the time for thinking and evaluating is rapidly coming. I hope someone comes forward who I can strongly support.

I have no idea, no one has said what they stand for yet. As for the Republicans, from their debates so far, they all seem way too hawkish and pro-torture to me (save McCain), they all sounded like the same damn person up there on stage. As for the democrats, I'll vote for the one who isn't afraid to finally stand up and say what they are for, and stop voicing what they are against.
All I could find on Obama so far is he plans to put 4% mandatory increases on fuel mileage annualy on vehicles over the course of 10 years. Thats IT! Hillary want health care for everyone, but I can't figure out how she plans to do that, she won't say.
Maybe 3 months from election time someone will actually say what they stand for and how they hope to accomplish it, but probably not because most Americans don't like to think too much, just complain.

No idea. Not one of them excites me or makes me believe they will change the curent M.O. of partisanship rancor. Not one makes me feel they can really change anything but the names at the top and on the doors.
