Yes! Babies do cry in utero. They don't make a sound, of course, but they exhibit all the physical characteristics of crying. Discovery.com has a fascinating ultrasound video of a baby doing just that: http://dsc.discovery.com/news/media/fetalcryingvideo.html

Like the rest of them, emotions are developing. Emotions are a social thing, for the most part. Emotions are a response to our environment and the people around us. In utero, babies can feel like moving, or sleeping, or playing etc. It seems that as they approach their due date they have emotions like that of a newborn. Crying is a neurological response and babies do cry in utero but not with the same emotion as their mothers do after they are born, with the kind of emotion as a newborn would.

Yep.
Humans are emotional. Once the brain is formed the fetus has thoughts and feelings. Sounds are heard after the ear buds are fully formed. So they will react to the stimulus.
Very good question.

Yes, I don't know if they can cry, but yes they can get cranky if they are unconfortable inside. And they can hear everything that goes on around you. They hear your voice, music, your heart, breathing, etc

They don't cry, but they can sense emotions from mom. So I think it would be safe to assume they have emotions.
