I ship for marine basic training next month, is there anyway to prevent this. I never fainted while standing to long but i felt very faaint and got a seat or move around a little. Will this affect me in basic training at all?

yes, something is wrong. This definitely can affect you in basic training. You have to see a medical doctor immediately.

Do you feel this way when standing in the same spot? If you feel this way when standing at attention or standing still it is because you are locking your knees which in turn cuts circulation of blood. I have seen guys fall out during dress inspection doing this. I hope this can help you and good luck.

when you stand for a while, be sure not to lock your knees or make them stiff, this causes fainting, loosen up just a bit.

could be blood pressure, anxiety, inner ear problems...best advice go see a doctor
