Actually, you drove yourself to the brink of insanity by choosing to stay in the relationship. Nobody can "make" you feel anything. Healthy people take responsibility for their own emotions and don't blame others.

I'm not sure about the brink of insanity but certainly to the point that you had to get away from her for a while. Some women seem to have this need to control every move you make and want to question everything you do to see if you did something she didn't tell you to do and then tell you how you should have done it.
They also decide that they need to direct the sequence in which you do things as well as how you do them. If you are in the middle of one thing and they think of something else, something they could easily do themselves, by the way, they will interrupt you with what you are doing to have you do that for them and then resume what you are doing. Then they will gripe because it takes you so long to do things.

You have it all wrong buddy. They don't 'drive us to the brink'. You see, women are mostly already insane. When they go out with us they throw a rope around us and "PULL us to the brink of insanity" That's very different.

Yes, yea yea. I have recently broken up with my boyfriend because he bought out a side to my personality that I didn't even know existed. People that know me well, say I'm graceful, thoughtful, quiet, gentle.
None of these things applied in the three heated moments that stick out in my mind, and that I would beat myself up for later on, wondering how I could be so malicious when backed into a corner.
Some people...just make you crazy.

a tactic i have encountered is what might be best described as "post-relationship lifesucking" where the ex tries to cover the memory of the good times by being overly vile continually until the only thing you can say of her and the realtionship is " She was a ******* nightmare"
what went on during the time you went out brings you some good memories, that cannot be changed by what she does now.

Well, if women can drive men to go to war, to steal, to lie, to kill, and to do almost anything else immoral or wrong, women can most certainly drive you to the brink of insanity.

NO! The only person that can drive you to the brink of insanity is YOURSELF. This happens when you stay in a doomed or loser relationship TOOOO long.

Yes, woman can do that, but only if you let them get to you. I've been there and it sucks. It feels so much better to be away from those women.
