congrats! It's reare to witness the birth of the babies, you are indeed lucky. Guppies are one of many fishes known as live bearers because they do give birth to live babies instead of having eggs. Your guppy will have more babies in about 28 days, so be watching for them!

You are very lucky. I've had guppies forever and NEVER caught the mamma guppy actually having her babies. The other fish in your tank will eat them, so make sure you put in some plants, or other places that the tiny fishies can hide and avoid being eaten!

What?

Guppies don't lay eggs, they are livebearers.

guppies are livebearers, which means they give birth to live babies rather than lay eggs.
platys, mollies and several other rarer livebearers are available on the market to keep as pets.
