I think they just want a pretty basic site - 5 pages more or less, nothing fancy - just basically an information site, with a few pictures, links, enquiry form, etc.

I've made a few before but not for money - I'm alright at it but I'm getting better - I'm at University at the moment.

How much do you think is an acceptable price to charge them?

I would just charge myself out at £40.00 per hour but if its a cash job maybe £25.00 and estimate your total time to do it.

between 30 and 100 pounds depending on how much money is the person willing to give. I believe you must agree with that person on a certain price and then mainteinance costs, maybe he needs some updates to be done later on. You don`t have to charge too much of too less. Try agreeing with the person on a resonable amount of money, that`s the best thing to do.

Goodluck with the site!

It depends on how much you do.
I do know that some sites are very expensive.

I would say $100 and maybe $25 a month to keep it up

It would be a good idea to check out sites online and see what they charge.

Work out how long it will take you to build it and then how much you think your time is worth hourly. Do not quote too cheap, you will trap yourself into working for them at the same rate forever. Better to quote higher for unforseen problems, if they baulk at the price you can allow some haggling, but don't be too soft.
