I dont think so. These are different ways to express yourself. Everyone likes different things and to change things up every now and then. Cant always stay looking the same can you? Being insecure is not feeling comfortable in your own skin. And like covering your body with huge baggy clothes, things like that.

Yep. Trying to change your looks to something you are not is a sign of insecurity in general. However, playing with fashion is fun, and a lot of people like to try different looks here and there. So if it is just some experimentation, that's one thing, but if she (or he!!!!) is trying to effect a big permanent change or even contemplates surgery -- think Michael Jackson here -- then that is a sign of trouble. Send that person for some self-esteem help.

For some people yes. I don't think the foundation alone means you are insecure but if you are bleaching, wearing contacts, etc. in addition to that I would think you are unhappy with your complexion. Now there are always exceptions to the rule, some people just like to be "out there." --- www.youravon.com/pworkman

i completely agree that fake people are a turn off and i think that it could mean that she is insecure but for some people they just get in a habit of putting on make up or doing that stuff to their skin but for her it does sound like she has confidence issues

Some people just like changing their looks every once in a while. You wouldn't call someone insecure because he/she wanted to get a tan (going from light to dark) or if a blonde dyed her hair black or red.

I know someone who did that because her boyfriend was looking through one of her magazines and oogled a model with blonde hair and blue eyes (the girl had brown hair brown eyes) No one respected her for it, including him.
