What do guys look at when they look at a girl? Do they pay attention to wardrobe or makeup or anything?

Depends on the guy.... Generally, yes.
Neatness and tidiness = looking great, for most guys. Putting on more makeup just makes you look pretty repulsive!
The key is just one word---- Balance. Dont be too gaudy, and at the same time dont go around looking like a hag, either!
Keep your innate, self beauty clear- if you are yourself, people will definitely think you are good-looking, whoever you are!

Guys will look at what a woman wears to see what it flatters. Most 'guys' will look to see if the clothing flatters a woman's figure, or if the skirt is short enough to see more leg, but for the most part guys don't separate the clothing from the wearer.
You won't hear of a guy saying "Oh, did you see the Donna Karan on that woman? Nice color.." He may notice how it hugs the curves, or how it moves with her as she walks, but for the most part, the clothing is part of the package.
Now, the 21st century Man, the "metrosexual" may notice a bit more. He may notice if the woman is wearing makeup and whether she needs it, or whether the hair style is flattering to the shape and color of her face, but overall, again, this is a total package. Men look for the total effect of what a woman looks like.
Comments: Bright Mascara and Jeweled eyelashes? Men go crazy for this? No. Sorry, we do not. Maybe Junior High kids, but not grown men. Oh yeah, there may be some who do, but let's face it, MOST men -and I'm talking a major portion of the male population- prefer a woman who is beautiful without the spash, without the jewels. Make up is supposed to make a women look like she's NOT wearing makup instead of like an extra in a Bob Fosse Musical.
And while I"m on the subject, Women PUH-LEEZE! When doing the lips, the extra line around the edge is supposed to enhance, to give the lips a full look, a feeling of voluptuousness. It is NOT supposed to look like you're been eating a fudgcicle and forgot to wipe your mouth! Use a slightly darker shade than the lipstick, not a dark brown or black!

We probably won't notice if what you're wearing is the latest style or the trendiest designer. We most likely don't know or care about such things. I will notice if what you're wearing accentuates your looks. If a woman is overweight and is wearing a top that bares her tummy that's not a good look and I'll notice. If she's stumbling around on too high heels I'll notice. If you have on clothes that fit well, highlight your best features and you look confident and comfortable that's what I'll notice.

Guys do look at what they wear, but they dint usually pay attention to stuff like who the designer is.
- The makeup on the other hand, yes. You dont want to look ugly (and Im sure you dont) but they usually like glossy lips that have a light scent and that arent sticky, smelly, or nasty looking. Lip balm is really good because it has a a glossy look but it wont have your lips look sticky.
- I dont know why, but they do like flirty lashes. Bright colored mascaras and jeweled fake eyelashes are one thing they go crazy for.

Not to be rude, but why don't all you females take a step back and actually let the GUYS answer the question. You only THINK you know what guys do, but you're generalizing based on stereotypes.

that is all with regard to the greater healthful, if a brilliant shirt is saggy and she or he do not fit in it, it seems amazing, yet while a guy is bursting out of a ladies floral shirt... you will see that why it ain't so incredible? of direction, except she is larger then you definately, and the shirt isn't very female, then you definately might seem amazing; yet then she'd be wearing your shirt it is smaller then her, and it would seem daft! shop on alongside with your very own clothing, or your birthday greater healthful :)

i think the way u dress says a lot about you. "you are what you wear" if you dress mature you look mature if u dress childish you look childish. so boys look at what your wearing to see if your pretty face matches with your good clothes or bad, because if your pretty and your clothes are bad don't worry boys will never take a second look (talking 4rm experience)

trust me they pay attention to everything...that can be a good or bad thing...but they do notice like the clothes or hair style and makeup...

yes guys do look at what girls wear because they feel that a girl's appearance says alot about that girl.Like me for an example i look at a guys face/eyes because i like a guy that dresses nice not sloppy!!!

Yes and no. We notice when you look nice, etc. and that has a lot to do with what you are wearing, etc. Do we break it down and think "Wow, that blouse and those shoes!"? No, not usually. It's more of a package deal with us. She looks__________(fill in the blank.)
