i just bought it yesterday and when i try to put it in my laptop it doesn't work, but when i try it on the other computer it works. When i put the usb hub here in my laptop and try other usb devices into that usb hub anyone of them doesn't work...
My model number is: PP01L my laptop is dell

USB powers devices - its an energy source for devices. If your laptop has a very small battery, or not a large charge, it won't be able to supply the hub with enough power for it to operation.

Also, try multiple ports in your laptop, and other USB devices in your laptop to see if the port works. But assuming it does, the problem is your hub can't get enough power. I'd suggest a powered hub that gets its power from an AC outlet (in your wall).

Is the hub powered is first question, if so do the lights all come on. If it CAN take a power supply, use one. If you plug a USB2 hub into a USB1.1 port it WILL WORK only at USB1.1 speeds. There are no such things as USB1.1 to USB 2 converters to thanks to that idiot for the "great advice" USB HUB does NOT require drivers, Windows has them Most likely issue is simply power feed from laptop cannot drive the hub properly. If the HUB is not powered try to exchange with supplier for a powered one.

For a USB hub to work, it has to have power reaching it. The ports on a PP01L are not powered (meaning that it does not send power to the Hub). That is done to save battery life on most laptops. You will need to purchase a hub which has its own power supply.

It seems that the USB hub is not powered. You need to buy a powered USB hub to connect & work with your laptop.

You might need to update the USB port drivers on the machine it won't work on.

Or it might not have the capability of using the hub.

That's why it doesn't work, it is a Dell. Find a driver for the hub.

Ok you Laptop might not be compatible with usb 2.0
