I have been trying for a year now and I had a miscarriage in November 2006, it was very early on and at the time I was very upset, I still am now however it has given me faith that I can conceive. Does any body have any advice of what could make easier to conceive? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Get the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler.
If you don't already, start charting your basal body temps. www.fertilityfriend.com
The single most important thing is to have well-timed intercourse. You need to pinpoint ovulation and have sex the day before and day of ovulation. Use basal body temping in combination with cervical mucus and position tracking, and ovulation tests or fertility monitor to determine when you ovulate.

Are you seeing a reproductive endocrinologist or a "regular" endoc? If not, you need to, as they have more experience dealing with PCOS. Have you and your partner had full fertility workups? That's the first step.

If you don't ovulate from the PCOS, then you might be able to take Clomid. Also, if/when you do get pg, you may need progesterone supplementation during the first trimester of your pg to keep from m/c'ing. That's what I had to do b/c the PCOS messed up all my hormones and my body didn't make enough progesterone to keep the baby/build the uterine lining.

I thought the same after my first m/c (6 wks). At least I knew I could get pg - I just had to figure out how to stay that way!

If/when you do get pg, you should see a perinatologist. PCOS can make you have other pg issues and put you at high risk for pg complications.

Okay I have the same exact thing. What happens is you get cysts on your ovaries. Which makes it hard, but not impossible to have children. My doctor put me on Met-forman and a birth control. The birth control helps you have regular periods so the cysts don't form. My girlfriend had the same thing and took the Metforman and with in like 6 months see was pregnant. You may also get little black hairs on your chin which drive me crazy. I feel like the bearded lady at the circus.Just know that it isn't your fault at all. That it is not impossible to get pregnant. I wish you all the luck and blessings in the world. Know that people get pregnant everyday that have the same condition.

I also have PCOS and am having a hard time conceiving. My doctor has put me on provera to bring on AF and Clomid to make me ovulate. This is my second cycle on the clomid and both months I have ovulated so there is hope. Tonight I go to the doctor for an IUI. Speak to your gynocologist about fertility drugs to help you ovulate and make sure that they monitor each cycle with you. Sending baby dust....

Try birth control of any sort that STOPS ovulation itself. This si when the cysts develop. AFter a few months the cysts will clear and you may have a few "normal" cycles where your ovaries are not prohibited from normal function by them.
