Paris Hilton got her sentence reduced even though she so rightfully deserved it. plus you hear about Law suit abuse and how lawyers with big bucks win cases even when their client is in the wrong. How many celebrities have gone off easy because they have money?
Is that all it takes for me to do what i want? have top dollars? America, what the hell is wrong with you?

Well........... yes and no.
Just because someone has "millions" doesn't mean that they will necessarily 'get away' with breaking the law. The Law is the Law and eventually.... as with every lawbreaker, it catches up with them.
It DOES however mean, they have the resources to afford better attorneys. Public Defenders get paid by the city.... so, most of them don't give a crap either way... as it's a job and you aren't the one paying them.... whereas a personal attorney may fight better for you (whether you are guilty or not) because you're fronting the bill.
As for celebrity's and jail............ i'm guessing whether or not they go depends on what's good for PR and public image at that given time..... (lol) you know, in hollywood, for some celebrities, it does their image good to be incarcerated once or twice. haha. (i'm joking) but seriously..... i'm sure its a matter of dishonest people wanting favour with them (which is stupid) so that's why they dont always pay for their crimes right away. But if you really think about it...... there are tons of celebrities that have been arrested and served jail time...... if you pay attention to the news... so to assume that just because people are famous and rich they'll never spend time in jail is i think, a wrong assumption.
Although.... honestly, can you blame them? lol. Would YOU want to spend time in prision if you had the financial resources to afford a lawyer that was able to argue effectively so that you wouldn't? lol. Have you EVER SEEN the inside of a prison? (Prison and jail are different honey, much different). I don't think anybody in their right mind would WANT to go to prison, if they had a lawyer, or a ton of money, that could make sure they didn't.
It's wrong..... but its life.

Well it depends on which law, if it were something like murder, you would probably need alot more than a million, but yes you could get away with it.
