I am 61 years old, never had much talent except that I could work my butt off. I got a good education, taught for a number of years, started a business, got married and have one daughter. All of this was done with great dedication to what I wanted and am successful at doing it. In other words I was handed very little in life except the knowledge that you can have it if you want it and willing to work for it. All of this is mine, I am healthy, my family is healthy. In other words I lived my dream and pretty much got it and now I am still reaching for more.
My problem is- For the past 2 years I have not been happy and there is no reason that I shouldn't be!

I don't think you are giving yourself much credit. You should be thankful that your life worked out so well after all and that you played the huge hand in making it so. I think at 61 you may not have been fully prepared for where life is now taking you and how you will affect what comes next. Look at it as your next great adventure and tackle it as you did your early career and life plans. Do something new and different. Your wife is probably looking for that as well. There's still a lot to discover.

I hate to sound clinical, but have you talked to your doctor about depression? Depression can come in mild doses...it doesn't have to mean you sit around crying all day. If you have a general sense of unhappiness with no real reason, there may be a chemical problem. It's worth checking out.

Depression and or lack of adequate testosterone. Actually, low testosterone causes depression in men.

If you wanna feel like a new man...too greatly impove your overall sense of wellbeing, get on testosterone replacement therapy. If you don't try it, you've only yourself to blame. You only live once, may as well feel great and be happy.

There is your answer/solution. What you do with it is up to you.
