kbps means KiloBits Per Second
To get mbps, or MegaBits Per Second, divide the figure by 1000
Therefore 1348kbps = 1.348 mbps
It is worth noting that the term 'kilobit' is often misinterpreted - 1kbps does in terms of bit rates does _not_ mean 1024 bits per second as the binary meaning of kilo would have you think, but 1000 bits per second:
1 kilobit per second (1kbps) = 1000 bits per second
1 kibibit per second (1Kbps) = 1024 bits per second

One meg is just over 1000kb. So you can estimate kbs to mbs by just moving the decimal point three places.
1348 kb is about 1.3megs

Not really. An upload speed of 1348 kbps would typically refer to bits per second, which should not be mistaken for bytes per second. 1 megabyte is typically 1,048,576 bytes. 1,348,000 bits would be 168,500 bytes, or about 168 kilo bytes per second.

hi there
A meg is 1024 KB. so your connection is about 1.3MB. but your upload speed is usually 1/8 of your uverall speed, so your maximum upload may be 2meg, with a line capacity of 8Meg.
hope this helps!!
