Someone who writes a book still has copyright until 70 years from the end of the calendar year in which the author dies. Books that you will find for free generally will be this old. You can find many here. These are all legit.

Downloading Harry Potter books for free would definitely be a punishable offense.

Downloading Harry Potter Books for free = copyright infringement and is against the law.

Classics could include works that are now in the public domain, and the Library of Congress website may have some links for e-books for you. They also have music that is in the public domain.

Some people who do infringe copyrights use sites like E-mule, which is a peer-to-peer file sharing program, but once again, it is still illegal. Don't think that Rowling doesn't go after people for infringement, either. Her business people are pit bulls.

The audio book is going to be released on the 21st of July, (same time as the regular book) so chances of getting anything before then are fairly slim. Of course you won't be able to download it for free legally but if you keep an eye on bit-torrent sites after the 21st you might just come across a copy.

If you are blind you can order audio for free, if not handicapped, go to the library. You can borrow books on tape or to read and no laws broken. They do have Harry potter and classics. Have fun and good reading!

well we all know file sharing is illegal but who really cares. someone had to buy it to share it so if you can find a file sharing program you can probably find some e-books. I don't really read a lot of e-books but harry potter is one of the harder ones to find. You can probably search online for it.
