There is more to being an American Idol than just singing. It's about stage presence, looks, personality. The young teen demographic pushed Blake past Melinda. I still think Jordin has the best personality (although, she cries about every 30 seconds) which I believe helps her....It's basically a popularity contest. I think that Melinda having experience as a paid backup singer finally hurt her. She sings good, but she's had her chance. They all will make a lot of money and they will make Simon a lot of money.. They are basically singing whores for Simon/Sony BMG. Only the great ones with extreme talent will make it past their first contract.

i was not happy at all...first they took lakisha off which i think her and melinda should of been the final two..jordan and blake arent that great and the voting is fixed. Melinda should of been the winner of the show, and i believe Melinda and lakisha will have many many recording offers bigger than what american idol can offer and make anyone out to be! American Idol just totally blows

Fundamentally, she blew Jordin and Blake out of the water as far as singing skills go, but she had no WOW to her... The American Idol has to have that WOW, and Blake and Jordin have it. Melinda doesn't. Melinda will have a great career regardless...

Melinda was good but I think between Jordin and Blake that they had a bit more umph. to their sound than Melinda
But I bet you anything, she'll make a record

I think Jordin should win and will. I think Melainda should have made it to the finals, but kinda knew that Blake would make it because of his appeal to the female population. Talent wise I think he is way below Melinda and I think Jordin will outshine him and win it all!

I had mixed emotions, I really like Blake and his style, but Melinda is pretty fantastic. All three really were pretty awesome, but I personally want Blake to win, just because I think he is absolutley adorable and has a fantastic stage presence

Some of the best singers don't win. For instance, Clay Aiken, but he became a millionaire anyway and is doing fine on tours and talk shows.
Melinda will have a career -- far better than one-note Blake.

Im to say the least dissapointed with last nights decision.American idol is definitely going to be more popular the people behind it will earn more money,but its integrity and credibility in choosing the best singing talent,will plummet and go down the drain.That is the last episode of AI that im going to watch.im not inclined to watch it anymore.

I feel she was on the way to becoming an attention starved diva, and wish her luck as she becomes a waaaaaay awesome performer.... You see, she was not a pop or pop country singer though...and that's what American Idol caters to: the pop or pop country listeners.
