or does he just say stupid things for the entertainment value. earlier in the season, he called american idol a "singing" competition. It's obviously about the demographic vote. Did Blake move on because of the white teeny bopper vote? or did he move on because of the backlash to Melinda for being a professional back up singer?

No simon is not an idiot he talks with a lot of sense american idol is really suppose to be a singing talent competition that was supposed to be the purpose of the show but apparently other factors like looks,youth they just come into play considering that most idol fans are the young ones teeny bopper types,i can only say this AI is going to be more popular but its integrity and credibility in choosing best singing talent will plummet down the drain

Well.. what I know is, im 14, and I loved Blake since day one. I thought he was interesting, fresh and absoloutly likable.
My parents thought as well, they thought he was such a fun guy with most of his performances. What I can say about Blake is that yes, half of the people that vote for blake are teeny boppers because he's hot and he's very modern at this point.
But most of the older people love Melinda and think that she'll be known as one of the greats. And I think so too, but from what I've heard, most of the kids and teens think she's boring. I mean, when you're a kid, who wouldn't. But it doesn't really matter, she'll wind up doing great.
This isn't really her competition if you ask me, this is more of a popularity contest, it's getting a bit sick, but anywho.. it's more of the pop face they want to see, and she's not it.
Their all doing great anyway, so.. I hope this helped. =]

Blake moved on for a couple reasons I think. 1. He appeals more to the younger set, 2. He brings more than singing talent to the show, 3. His style this year is different than any before and falls into the uniqueness caregory, and 4. Dont forget how adorable he is. Yea they say its all about singing, but its not and will never be just that. It is against human nature and you ain't gonna change it!!! Anyway, I'm a grandma and Blake was my favorite all along, oh dear!!!

I think people got tired of Melinda. I know I did. Blake is different and has taken chances while Melinda stays safe. I personally don't like Melinda. I think her voice is amazing, she is a great singer but theres just something about her that rubs me the wrong way. Like at the beginning she was always so surprised by the judges comments that after a while it just seemed fake...give it up already...we all know she can sing, obviously she knows it too or she wouldn't have tried out for American Idol. I dunno, I just think it got old really quick.

i think of Simon is a huge humorous clever asset to the practice ... he's quirky and witty and exciting .. I fairly dislike the simon haters ... the two the visitors /followers / contestants and esspecially now... ryan seacrest.... ryan is a gay boy who's doing the distinctive ciontestants and residing a lie ... simon is conscious it and merely approximately stated it on the practice the different day yet substitute into clever sufficient to understand to not air grimy laundry on air ... Randy and paula are butt kissers paula focusing on kissing everyones arses inspite of each thing performances....< Which is clever simply by fact that she substitute right into a performer / cheerleader>> mindless follower and time-honored butt kisser>> don't be trouble-free paula tell all people what they elect to hearken to so they would be pleased with their pathetic performances .....Randy is probable the main cheating of all of them .. he sems to understand greater useful yet likes to leap on paulas area against simon as though to assert >> you're incorrect simon and all of us understand greater useful and you have not a precise to an opinion whether that is unlike ours....I hate that .. Ryan is solid at what he's doing yet he's a lil gay boy....
