My husband has severe problems with his legs and cannot stand for long periods. I have done research and learned that you can ask for a GAC card but I have also heard that they are resticted to get. What are the restictions? Do I need to bring a doctor's note since he will not "look" disabled till he is literally crying in pain. He does not need a wheelchair, but our day will be severly cut short if he has to sand in long lines all day. Pease help us get the most from our disney experience. Thank you!!!

Well, when I was there this past summer my Mother-in-law needed to use a wheelchair and like your husband was not visably handicapted. Prior to my arrival there I had heard that a doctor's note is necessary. My personaly feelings having received a GAC for her, is that you likely will not need one.

As I recall, though, you can only have up to 6 people in your party get the advantages that a GAC gets you. They will ask you about weather your husband can "transfer" - meaning get out of the vehicle.

You can get this card at the magic kingdom in guest services. As soon as you walk into the park on your left you will see guest services there and they can help you.

Have a magical journey!
