Nash because he is more consist ant. It is hard to talk bad on J Kidd, it would be better for him if he had the surrounding cast that Steve has.

Jason Kidd is the better player.
First, he played ahead of Nash when both were with the Suns.
Second, Kidd is a bigger, more physical point guard, and can defend the point and the 2. Nash is a scrappy defender, but not a solid one by any means.
Both get their teams involved well.
Nash has the better shot, but Kidd seems to make timely shots and can at least make free throws.
Kidd is a triple double threat every night with REBOUNDS. Nash really doesn't stack up in this category...
Nash's teams do better, but I think he's also had the stronger supporting cast.
So I'll pick Kidd. But you can't go wrong either way.

J-Kidd took a team with zero allstars to two NBA finals and Nash is yet to do so inspite of having Stoudemire and Marion. That is reason enuf to say that Kidd is better. However Nash has more time left in the game and could be as good or better than J-Kidd.He is playing in an era which favours his teams style and has a coach who bases his game on Nash's strengths. On the other hand J-Kidd has no such luck. Thanks

If Steve Nash never won an MVP, this question wouldn't even be asked. I give Nash a lot of credit. He is has been an excellent PG for about 5 years. That's about half of the time Kidd has been excellent. I believe right now it's a toss up. My answer to this question can change from game to game but in history Nash doesn't even compare to Kidd.

Jason Kidd, a 12 yr-pro, won 1995 Rookie of the Year and brought the Nets franchise to the 2002 NBA Finals.
Steve Nash, a 10-yr pro, won MVP honors on 2005 & 2006.
Career stats (Points/Assists/Rebounds/Steals):
Name PPG APG RPG SPG
Kidd 14.5 9.2 6.7 2.0
Nash 14.0 7.6 2.9 0.8
Both players make their teammates play great.
Stats-wise, Jason Kidd is the better PG. His triple-double record numbers contribution is 2nd to Magic Johnson.
But if the game is on the line, coaches would prefer Nash to have the ball on the dying seconds because he can create a better shot and will own up the blame if the team loses.

I'm inclined to say Kidd because Nash has never been to the Finals yet no matter how you slice it. If Nash doesn't make the Finals this year his back to back MVP's will really seem undeserving I think.

I will break it down
Scoring: Nash has a better shot
Defense: One on one defense, Kidd is better
Rebounding: Definite advantage Kidd
In a one on one match, I would give Kidd the win.
If I have to start a franchise with one of these PG's, I would choose Nash. He makes his teamates better, more than Kidd does.

Steve Nash and J-Kidd are both rather large and ingenious aspect guards. you are able to`t rather hate both of them. Jason Kidd in his suitable is arguably between the perfect aspect guards ever. Jason Kidd has the skill to take care of different postions and is sturdy at stealing. I supply the nod for J-Kidd on d. On offense passing is incredibly equivalent yet steve nash's capturing opportunities are between the perfect ever. Steve Nash is between the perfect p.c.. and roll gamers of our era. hardship-free I unquestionably ought to furnish Kidd the nod for his skill to attain this a lot on the courtroom. both gamers are magicians on the courtroom and both could be respected.
