what is the signifigance of the letters being red??
sometimes the Di part is red, sometimes the full TDi is red and sometimes just the i is red.....why is that??

The TDI is for the Volkswagen Cars. It is for the turbo diesel engines. The diesel engines come in 105bhp, 140bhp and 170bhp. This is the Basic rules, the more red the more powerful the engine.
However there are some exceptions, as mistakes done in production. Also some people will change the the letterings to make their car seem more powerful.

I've seen people put VR6 stickers on normal 2.0 engines, and I've seen the same with the TDI engines. So it is not the best way to judge the power of the car.

Turbo charged diesel with direct into the combustion chamber fuel injection is TDI the signifigance of different colored letters escapes me.
