My three yr old daughter seems to have gifts...she get premonitions, see's things and practices healing.....
So yes i believe that you can be born with them....
I dont know about learning them though! Possibly!

Hello! All people have the ability to be a psychic. Some are born with their gifts of intuition (i.e. passed on from one generation to another), others have to learn to "develop" their gifts, and some have the gifts but do not allow themselves to "recognize" them or use them or understand them until later in life.

You also asked how does the psychic gift work. Well, that can be answered in many different ways, for an example: Some people are what they call a "medium," where they communicate with the dead, see the dead, etc. There are many psychic gifts but not all psychics possess all of the gifts. Some have a few of the gifts and some have a lot of the gifts. I hope this helps answers your question.

I started telling people things that would and have happened to them as a entertainment when I was 13, it just so happened I hit it on the head most of the time. Thats when I noticed maybe I wasn't just a good guesser. How would I know someone's father died when they were 7? How would I know someone's mother was a twin and that they would have twin sons? I did I know that they would betray their sister by sleeping with her husband?
So, now I trust my instinct and people come to me all the time with questions, I welcome it. I feel I've been blessed with a gift and I use it as best I can to help people. I've yet to charge anyone, I don't see myself going professional.
I think I get stronger with this everyday, I'm only 26 so hopefully I'll live a long life to help many people.
I don't know if I was born with it, but I'm pretty sure I was.

Well though no one is quite sure about the mechanism of psionics but i can surely say it is a gift everyone has got. Some people do not use it because the are afraid of changes and new things so they rather decide to ignore it. Anyways anyone no matter what the age you start you can still learn it is like a skill but just as some people are born better in some skill so are some people better at psionics. Everyone has them to a certain extent but if you don't use them they begin to fade. So you can be born with good development in a certain area or you can learn it but if you stop using it slowly it will start degrading.

I am not a phychic but with my gift of being a clairvoyant, I did not recognize it until I was about 7 or so. I do not have any recollection of knowing I had this ability before then. I believe it is something we are born with. I don't think that it comes into play into our lives until we are ready to accept it. I also believe it is inherited, my daughter is showing signs that she can see spirits, she is only 18 months. I can read it in her face that she has the gift as well. If you choose to use our gifts that God has given us, I think they stay with us until it is our time to go. If we choose not to exercise our gifts they can weaken, and I imagine go back into remission. I don't think it ever leaves us though.
When I had my awakening I was in my room laying down to go to sleep, everyone else was asleep. We lived a good mile from the nearest neighbor, and I heard a women calling my name. She gently said it 3 times, which as I later learned that was my calling from the other side to accept the gift I was given. This was confirmed a few years ago by a medium friend of mine.

I think some are chosen and nurtured for these certain alleged abilities. There are those who mention the spirit guardians that are supposedly with us throughout our natural lives. If a person supposedly had many past lives, these may also have unique abilities as well. It may also have something to do with their spiritual character being empathetic towards others, especially, other living beings. You can also look into remote viewing for some other alleged psychic abilities. According to a biblical passage there are those who are referred to as; hosts and great hosts or mouthpieces.We usually like to call these people; mediums.

We are all psychic, but for the majority the gift or the belief has been long knocked out of them. Educated out is another way of looking at it. Many professional psychics have grown up in a psychic friendly environment. Perhaps a grand-parent or parent with the knowledge has helped bring the extra sense out in the open and encouraged its use. But there are as many practicing psychics who have not had the benefit of caring psychic guidance and who have still managed to develop and hone this natural extra sense.

A natural ability is there from birth. Everyone has the ability to learn and practice psi, but not everyone does. The recommended age to start learning is roughly 14, or so.
