Impossible. How do you curb peoples need for money/sex drives?
There will always be men who want no strings attached sex, and there will always be women exploiting this need by taking their money. There will always be exploitative men, hooking young girls on drugs to get them to work for them. If you want to curb the social evils attached to it, legalise it and make it a proffesion. I used to be a labourer. I used my body to make money for myself and my boss. The armed forces risk their life for pay. Prostitutes use their body for money. No different. Its just old fashioned values that change it. The sooner society accept that most men actually like no strings sex for the sake of sex, and dont make this a crime, the sooner its off the streets. Unfortunately, this aspect of male sexuality is denied by most men (when there are women present!) and causes offence to most women, and women controll society! Also, what is defined as prostitution? Is a woman marrying a rich man prostitution? I would argue it is, but this is not discouraged, actually encouraged. This is a screwed up world of double standards!

It won't be curbed. It is a fact of life. It is part of the journey of these girls and guys. Perhaps if they were offered free counselling and life coaching when they go for their STD check-ups a few might choose a more acceptable path or include the topic in sex education classes in school, but that won't stop others joining the industry.
The only thing to be curbed is judgement. There are many reasons that people choose to enter prostitution and they should be offered support if they want it, to allow them to feel strong enough to leave when and if they are ready.

If the men who patronize prostitutes would pony up and own their sexuality and become responsible for birth control,child care, etc, prostitutes would have no clients.
Men seek hookers because they do not want to do the things I listed and as a result, their wives and GFs refuse them sex.

Prostitution, the oldest occupation, exist because there is a demand/need for it! Just like Porn exists because of demand.
