I want to be able to have coffee mornings or lunches or trips to the park. I really feel socially isolated. I have no idea where to begin.

I'm a SAHM to a 13 1/2 month old and one on the way. SAHM=Stay At Home Mom

If you have a child young enough, you could try a mommy and me class, or a class at the local YMCA and meet other moms there.

You could see if the school needs a "den mother" or whatever they call them now.

Check out a local paper for classes, programs, art shows...whatever you'd like to join.

Do you live near a community college? See if you can take a class or two.

Start attending a local church that has a good youth program....where there are youths there are other women.

Grab one of your hobbies and go with it! Seek out women who share the hobby.

Hostess a "tupperware party" (Pampered Chef, Home Interiors, Candles, Victorian Trading Company Tea Party) and invite neighborhood ladies.

Join a book club.

Go ahead and have that coffee morning, lunch or trip to the park alone and see if there's another woman alone and start a conversation.

If you have family nearby reconnect with them.

Take piano lessons or art lessons.

Just make sure none of this interferes with the raising of your children. They're more important right now that you having Starbucks once a week. But I'm sure you know that already. :)

i'm no longer a sahm, yet I stay in imperative Florida so i recognize what you're speaking about with the warm temperature (known is ninety 2 levels or better and muggy as all hell). I take my daughter to the park early contained in the morning on the weekends at the same time as the elements continues to be rather cool and allow her run herself ragged on the playground (nicely as a lot operating as a 14 month previous can do). I take her to the mall also and allow her walk around the a lot less crowded sections of the mall until eventually she receives drained and needs to sit in her stroller. Why do not you manage play dates or attend a mommy and me type/team. My chum is a sahm and she or he joined a collection that arranges play dates and events in the course of the day. i'm confident they have some thing like that on your section.
