the codecs to play dvds may be missing in the media player
try downloading k-lite with media player classic

Your DVD player should have come with the software like Cyberlink's Power DVD. Once you have it installed, your screen would have something like the faceplate of a DVD console.

pls install the power dvd soft ware in ur system.... pls install the software properly....... u should have power dvd drive.... if both are there & still not working properly means u should have writer ....... in dvd writer all the writed dvd will work...... some writed dvd wont work in dvd drive .... if u dont have all these problem...... then there will be a problem with a file the file should be a name .vob the vob file should be there...... try it any problem rep me....

my silly question.....you do have a DVD drive? the DVD drive can't decode a store bought/rented movie. you need a program to do that as posted by zen_age
