I feel lucky because I don't feel that way. Maybe because I don't talk to that many people other than my children and my family, on the phone. My children better be listening. :o) Also, when I talk to family, it is always on the phone, so they have a captive audience. Ha!

Absolutely true. I have had serious conversations with the children from time to time, and learned that they do listen, but do not hear the message no matter how many times we have the same conversation.

Yes. My husband only "hears" but 70% of the time, never even cared to "listen". As soon as I turn the tv off while the football game is on, suddenly, he hears and listens very well!! LOL!!!!!
