I've always thought that Jordin could win this competition...she's the total pack-age. Melinda is a very good singer and will definitely make it on her own. It's the public that just didn't cast enough votes for Melinda, it's no-one else's fault. Well, maybe those teenyboppers. Have you seen just how crazy they went over Blake during his home visit they showed last night? If Blake wins, it's because of their votes. I thought Blake would be going home too..but people tend to like him and his sound. He looks like an Idol and if he loses this, it won't be the end of the road for him. If Jordin loses, same thing. She's got a very promising career ahead of her. Some people who have won Idol in the past in my opinion shouldn't have. When Clay Aiken lost, I was crushed as I thought he was a far better performer than Reuben and looked more the part. Today, Clay makes more CD'S and has more "concerts" than Reuben. I think sometimes winning that "title" can be a curse, they are under contract to do whatever is expected of them for a year whereas otherwise, they can do whatever they want. We'll be hearing more from Melinda.

It's not always about who's the best, it's about who people like the best. Blake has a solid base of fans, Melinda and Jordin have similar styles and pulled votes away from eachother. Jordin has more charisma and is in the finals because of it. Melinda is great though and will make it big. Look at Chris Daughtry for another castoff that shouldn't have been booted.

If we would base on their performances last tuesday,i think melinda blew the competition away it was not even close she gave both of them jordin and blake a neat lesson in singing,personally it should been blake or jordin,but really they were far more popular to the young teeny boppers who in my opinion will definitely decide the results of american idol.yah i noticed the expression on jordins face she was surprised but she seemed to hide the fact that she was happy but it still showed.

Shocked to se Melinda voted off.
Although not surprised.
Couple of years ago, Fantasia won (although she is a screecher and half a talent), and Diane Dagarmo finished second (where is she now?).
Blake has personality and should win.
Jordin is the teen idol and probably will.

I am psyched that Melinda got voted off. She has a career already waiting for her, lets be serious. This show tends to be viewed by teens and Jordin has a great voice while blake has a great sense of who he is. I am proud to see the teens picking people they look up to! I do think Jordin should win.

I wasn't suprised. That's how it goes. I think Melinda was the best singer and was totally wronged. Blake sucks and Jordin is annoying. I am not watching American Idol anymore. They got it wrong last year too. Kat McPhee should have won.

I doubt if it's the last you will hear of Melinda because she has an A1 star voice.
The Jamiraquoi clone Blake, on the other hand, is boring me already.
The vote is held fairly, as far as I can work out, and 60 million votes is a lot of folks........

I truely believe that the votes do count but I think the shows producers have the final say of who stays and who goes. ya i think Blake should have gone because he wasn`t the best singer. What does thst say for the show now. If you don`t try your hardest or you try very hard it doesn`t matter. I mean come on. Why try at all then.

Its a popularity contest, not a singing contest. Otherwise Melinda shoulda won it all. The voters are mainly young, and like the younger Blake and Jordin, but the over 25 crowd would appreciate the talent that Melinda has. I believe that there are more younger voters that watch Idol.
