Bipedalism is standing, or moving for example by walking, running, or hopping, on two appendages (typically legs). There are at least twelve distinct hypotheses as to how and why bipedalism evolved in humans, and also some debate as to when. Evidence points to bipedalism evolving before the expansion in human brain size. The different hypotheses are not necessarily mutually exclusive and a number of selective forces may have acted together to lead to human bipedalism...

Some, including myself, can walk on two hands, head down, though not for long.
Prefer to keep head up and hands free.
The erectile posture combined with high maneuverability of hands and fingers has been one of the greatest contributors of our march ahead of all other beings.

try walking around on yr hands for a few hours and you will understand why. Im sure it would make you pretty sore rather quickly. Besides, your hands would have to touch all the gross stuff on the ground.

Well, walking upright gives us an advantage. We can see danger coming and use our arms and hands for defensive moves. We can chose food from several levels. Natural selection saw to it that the traits supporting the upright stance developed strongly.

As with almost everything else, at some point in the development, it was to the advantage for our ancestors to stand up on two feet instead of four. Standing up gave some an advantage of others, and thus, those with the advantage "lived on" while "animals" who did not died out.

Because we are not animals !! and a big Plus is that we
were made in Gods Image ....... and for the evolutionist they
have yet to prove anything so far , its all been and still is theory but ! our DNA experts have released us from the Ape
man theory which was only believed by people who did not
want to believe in God in the first place .
