There is definitely no lottery. I promise you, you have won nothing. He is going to scam you. Whether it be a bank draft, a wire transfer, or whatever...it is definitely a scam. I'm guessing he sent you a money order or cashiers check of some sort that you deposited at your bank and now you have to send the "extra" back. Right? Well, even though the check processed through your bank, it hasn't cleared through their bank yet. So what happens is you send that money to him and about two weeks from now you'll get a statement form the bank saying that the check never cleared on the other end. So you're stuck paying the bank back that $2000 and also any fees that apply. And since he's not in America, he's in Nigeria, there's really nothing you can do legally---you'll be stuck paying that money back to the bank.
So please, don't send him money. He's just scamming you. In the future, be careful of what you believe. If it sounds too good to be true or if its coming from another country (especially nigeria or the uk) dont believe it.
good luck.

Put Nigerian 419 Scam into search for questions and educate yourself.
If you won a Nigerian lottery why are YOU sending 2000 Pounds to them?? let me guess you have to pay the fees!!!
Sucker.
How did you win a lottery when you never bought a ticket))
Let me guess YOU were PICKED!!
Sucker
If you are in contact with this Nigerian person and have given any of your credit card or bank details, contact your credit card company and bank as soon as possible before they wipe out your account leaving you with nothing.
And remember this SCAM works because people are greedy for FREE Money, there is no such thing.

Why the hurry? If you take the time to think about it you will remember whether you ever bought an Nigerian lottery ticket. They you will wonder why it's going to cost you £2000 to collect your prize. I suggest you contact the nice gentleman and request that he donate your winnings to aids charities in Nigeria.

Stand on the dock, and throw your money into the ocean, one ten pound note at a time.
On the off chance that this question is not a joke, listen to the others; you are being scammed.

Just follow the instructions that the nice Nigerians left you in the email. They'll take care of everything else. Including whiping out your entire savings account. BTW, can I have your checking account #? I just won the lottery too. :)
