Does Melinda Doolittle's getting voted off prove that music is about looks and nothing more?

Attractive teenie boppers get more votes than talented mature singer Melinda? If Jordan wasn't pretty would things be different?

I feel that the people who vote the most are younger and tend to vote that way. Younger in appearace most times, but last year younger in attitude(Taylor Hicks). Melinda Doolitle will have a much better career than if she won. She will not have to sign the contract and have to sing the songs that they force on her.

I voted for both Melinda and Blake. I was shocked that Melinda went. However, remember Blake is talented! To say he was voted in because of his looks only is just wrong. Part of being a musician is ART! He has gone above and beyond to create good music knowing that he probably doesn't have the best voice between the two girls. I will tell you that I think he sings better than the lead singer of Maroon Five!

PS: Melinda will be successfull no matter what :)

I think Melinda's chances were doomed when Simon said he wanted "his girl" to be in the finals.

I guess the teen girls were out in force voting for Blake.

Has I said yesterday - Blake should have gone - but going off X Factor over here and Idol over there - the finale had to be boy/girl
