This can be only two things, as your signal comes from your Graphics card then that's your first suspect. If you have an on-board graphics card. then buy and install a new one but don't forget to disable the on-boared one in BIOS.
The other thing may be your monitor is failing but this is not likly as once a moniter goes it goes.

The monitor tube has been damaged. When the stuff that cools down the heat generated by the electricity blows up, this behaviour happens. When the monitor cannot control the heat it stops and then u see ur screen go black. Check with the chord too. Maybe a result of loose connection also. Otherwise buy a new monitor. Wait, the problem even can happen due to the Display card. If the display card has been damaged, it stops sending signals to the monitor and then it goes blank. Any 1 out of these three things i told you is causing the problem. Get it checked.

I'm assuming this has to be the screen saver. Here's what to do. Step 1 - right click anywhere on the screen and then click on Properties (make sure you minimize the browser first). Step 2 - when the Properties menu appares, click on Screen Saver and down to area call "Wait." There you can set how long the screen will remain active before going into save more. Set it to the desired time you want to screen to go into screen mode and click apply. Step 3 - click OK and you're done. I hope this information is very helpful. Good luck and happy browsing

Your graphic card may have crapped out. If that's the case you will need to replace it. Open up the computer and make sure the thing is properly connected with the inside of the computer to begin with though... sometimes the connections are loose and that is the only problem.

Try keeping the air conditioning on. If that does not work just sell off your old Monitor to get a new one.
It's not worth getting it repaired.

It could be a fault with your monitor, a fault with your graphics card, or a fault with a program. It's hard to tell without having more details.
