You wouldn't know it by reading this forum. There are english, scottish, american, mexican, and spanish supporters on here who root for teams all down the table, even teams in the lesser divisions, but you never see an italian fan of any team other than those three. Why is that ?

It will be hard to market Italian football elsewhere since most evreybody in the world classifies shirt pulling, insults, spitting, diving ect as poor spoprtsmanship while for some reason italian fans consider that "part of the game". As long as it dosen't happen to them anyway.

I can tell you few good teams from Italy: Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan, AS Roma, SS Lazio (Roma's arch-rival from the same city), & Fiorentina. There are also many other teams such as Palermo, Torino, Cagliari, Udinese, Chievo Verona, Parma, Brescia, Bologna, Perugia, Napoli, etc.

I'm not sure why people seldom look at Italian teams. Perhaps they think all Italians are cheater, though in fact there are many other cheater from other countries. They have 'Italia-phobia'. Or they don't like Italian football's style (but I don't think it is a good reason to hate a team, right?). I like Italian league and I have been a fan of Italy national team for over 16 years.

Isnt the answer obvious? This forum is answered mostly by international users, as in people living outside Italy. And for these users, the media manipulation and spread by EPL has resulted in EPL being the only form of football available day in day out, especially in Asia. Even though the football is better in Serie A and La liga than in EPL, people can only follow teams whom they watch, they cant really follow 'unknown' teams like Palermo, Lecce etc. Basically, the italian federation should pull up its socks and concentrate on the spread of the game and in marketing it efficiently in the growing markets i.e. Asia and America. For me, Serie A shall always be the best league and Milan the best team

Juventus have Del Piero, Buffon, Trézéguet, Nedved (he's getting older yet seem at Maldini), Tiago, Camorenesi, Salihamidži? and Iaquinta and countless different super gamers. i'd say Buffon is only 2d to Petr Cech and that Juventus is going to come again returned reliable this season. i do no longer think of Ac Milan deserved to win the Champions League and that i'm stunned they made it each of how. On paper, Juventus is a extra perfect group by using a approaches.
