i know one of the requirements is that a driver would need to be sponsored by a team, but what else? what kind of tests do they go thru? Tks!

To get an F1 super license you need to be very good at karting. Before you get it you go through a testing session with any team and if your performace is immpressive you might get a super license.

It has to be granted approval by the FIA. a board of 40-over directors will vote. If majority of them decide that the driver deserves his license, then he gets it. Peter sauber had to convince this board to grant Kimi his superlicense in order to be an F1 driver. This was because Kimi was trying to get into F1 from Formula Renault and didn't have too many races under his belt. But he got his license in the end by a slight majority.

im not too sure about an fia supper licens but in other american series they make you runn a few laps at speed and whay they look for is consistant lap times, not nessicarily the fastes laps what they were looking for was for stability and good car controle,

they tel u drive straight aftr running 50 metres....but 1st of all u need karting license...
