Georgia On My Mind- Ray Charles

Every time I listen to that song, I begin to cry because I was once stationed in Georgia and miss the people as well as the state. I definitely would love to go back to the "Empire of the South".

Smoke Gets In Your Eyes by The Platters. It comes to us from the Doo Wop era (late 50's, early 60's) and is just a great song by a great singing group. Some of their other big hits were My Prayer, Only You, Harbor Lights. All great songs.

Since your refering to song that are inspirational (& trust me, they are), I will gladly answer your question in a lyrical format:

"Oh, its not hard to know what your thinking/when you look down on me now/Your trance of love is seeking/to turn this world around/But in my state of blind confusion/no God can pull me out/(can't remember the last part of the first verse)"

"And then I see you there with your arms open wide & you tried to embrace me/These lonely tears I cried they keep me in chains & I wish they'd release me/Cold is the night, but colder still is the heart made of stone, turned from clay/And if you'd follow me; you'll see all the balck, all the white fade to grey"

Fade to Grey: by "Jars of Clay" from "Much Afraid"
