It has been successfully argued that L Ron Hubbard based his Scientology business on a mixture of sci-fi, drug-induced rants and the black arts designed to bring people under his control, in order to milk them of their wealth.

Indeed, the intense brain-washing techniques used by them, are very similar to Devil worship rituals and chant procedures. The end result is delusion, mental subsumation and for some psychosis, whereupon they may well end-up in Scientology's Happy Valley, where mentally ill initiates are subjected to terrifying treatments designed to make them conform.

It's so real it makes your blood run cold!

While I might agree with you on the scientology front, you cannot deny that the teaching methods advocated by L Ron Hubbard are extremely useful for some children. And I am NOT referring to brain-washing, etc!

He wasn't all bad.

You mean, this guy:

A Reader's Digest article of May 1980 quoted Hubbard as saying in the 1940s "Writing for a penny a word is ridiculous. If a man really wants to make a million dollars, the best way would be to start his own religion."

And of course there's this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lord_Xenu

... It's amazing how stupid people are.

Mature people full of Biblical morals just smiles at this and are never afraid of. They know and are assured that the God
they rightfully believed in the Bible is overwhelmingly sovereign in everything. They are safe in His hand either death or life. (Romans 8:37-38). Real Christians can never be brainwash. To live is Christ and to die is gain (Philippians 1:21)
