I know its not true but i would like it to be. Also has anyone else heard any unusual sugesstions about meerkats.

We quite possibly evolved from something that looked like a meerkat, but we didn't evolve from meerkats since if we did there would be no meerkats.
It's the same as how we didn't evolve from chimps or apes. We evolved past the stage they are at now.

ehh... meerkats are quite cool and also cute, and they can also stand on two feet like us. but the idea is quite ridiculous. Still, i like meerkats. But the guy who wrote that, i think he's nuts.

Darn, I was liking the idea of descending from a lemur.
Now I have to rewrite all my family tree for 15 million years ago and earlier.

personnally, im hoping that I evolved from sloths. id like to be able to move slowly and not get much done and be able to site my evolutionary heritage as the reason. A three toed sloth, not one of those loser sloths with only 2 toes.
