Hi everyone,

I'm so fed up today, some people may think i'm exaggerating and need to lighten up but it's really annoyed me. Last night I pulled out of the car park, where the car park is, it's on a slip road of a dual carriageway, I went to change lanes and the guy behind flashed to let me in, he was driving fast so had to slam his breaks on. Now I know it could have been an error on my part because i've only been driving less than a week. Well anyway there's a guy in my office and he was dropping off a girl in my office and he refused to move out of the car park because he wanted to follow me! So he saw all this and followed me half the way home. I was so annoyed because it was putting me off. When I got into work this morning, the pair of them have told everyone at work that I randomly pulled out on a guy and it's really upset me that no one can be descreet in my office. It knocked my confidence. Does any1 understand what i'm saying? Any ideas on how to help me lighten up?

Descretion in the workplace is almost an oxymoron! Just is not going to happen!

Did you correct what was said? The driver flashed his lights expecting you to pull over, but at his rate of speed. Tell it like it was and forget about the other stuff! That is something you cannot change! However, you can change thoughts by simply telling what really happened!

Build your confidence by being honest! No one can fault you for that as it is admirable.

Hi. I totally understand where you are coming from. I was in a situation like this before and there is not very much maneouvering room. I understand why this upsets you and the problem with this kind of thing is that there is no defence against gossip and rumour. You can't go around and tell everyone that they are lying, that just paints you as pathetic. You have to just keep your chin up and ignore them, just treat people nicely and be civil and that way the other ones end up looking like they are idiots. Unfortunately, not much else you can do. This kind of thing is in every office everywhere, and you just have to learn to deal with it, sad but true. Just try and concentrate on what makes you feel good.

I have been driving for over twenty years (wow that long) and if that was the only mistake I have done I would be a very happy man.
When it comes down to driving don't worry, you didn't have an accident or cause anybody else to have one and out of curiosity, the girl in the office gets picked up by her boyfriend so she doesn't drive then?, Maybe when or if she passes her test she may make some mistakes.
I honestly wouldn't worry about.
Hope I have helped in some way, Good luck.

I like it Beanie!!!

i replaced right into a bottle-fed toddler, and my immune gadget is amazingly good. i haven't had an infection or pneumonia because of the fact that i replaced right into a toddler, and that i haven't been unwell in different years. I did nicely at college, and excelled in college. My husband is breast fed, has a PhD, yet he has hypersensitive reactions and is unwell a lot greater generally than i'm. Breast, or bottle fed makes no distinction on your person existence. that's merely for the wholesome of the toddler, and that i would not anticipate people to do it in the event that they do no longer want to.

Even when you have been driving for years, you will still encounter these sort of people, it is difficult, but IGNORE THEM. I am sure you are a good driver. When I passed my test after the third attempt, some people thought I would never pass and got a shock when I did!
What's important is that you drive carefully. Good luck.

It's only because you're a new driver. Things like that used to hurt me too, but I steeled myself to not let my feelings be hurt by driving. More practice, and you'll grow a thicker skin. Look around at other drivers. They do the stupidest things. You'll feel much better.

So you made a mistake. Recognize it for what it is and learn from it. I have seen many so called experienced drivers do the same. People will always talk trash ignore it. If you ever see the guy at work make a mistake do the same thing he did.

what you do is you ignore them. if you were flashed to move on then the fault is with the other driver. tell em to get a life. they'll soon get bored. i'd be annoyed with em as well but think of it this way, their lives are so empty and dull they only have you to talk about. quite sad really isnt it.

just close your eyes and take a deep breath :) just laugh it off its kinda funny right? When ppl do that sort of thing to me I will just make a joke out of it if they were trying to be mean then they get mad that your not mad which is good. Try to think to your self screw anyone who doesnt like me or doesnt like what I do.... all that matters is that you know your treating ppl with respect being nice and respectable yourself. When you start thinking all negative and your getting stressed and angry just try to take a moment breath and relax.. remind yourself of how great you are and how stupid anyone must be to not agree :)
