some retard wrote:"As of today, we have lost 3,601 American boys/men defending their country in what they believe to be saving
the freedom of the people of the USA."

isn't that ridiculous? the US invaded another country to "defend and save the "freedom" of the people in the US?

how many innocent iraqi people have been killed, how many innocent iraqi people's homes are forever destroyed, how many children have no school to go to in iraq, and that retard praised the invasion?

is the iraqi people's life not as important as the life of the people in the US? how did the US soliders "defend the freedom" by invading another country that is so far away from the US?

I agree this is sad and sickening what our ppl are doing and whoever wrote that I am sure is an uneducated idiot. The media covering only americans dying is normal for this country but only the idiots listen to that crap. It was the same with the war between lebanon and isreal last summer the media only covered the few Israelis killed not the thousands of women and children who died from those bullys isreal. One day our country and isreal will get a pay back for all the terrorism these two countries have done. :(

The U.S government has said in just the last 6 months over 60,000 people have been killed in Iraq. I always find it funny that on the news, they make little fan fair about 200 people that were killed in a truck bomb, but then they make a huge deal on how one solder was killed in Iraq. It is true that the life of the Iraq people is cheap, they are being killed by the hnudreds each day. Now this isen't saying that the united states is the main reason for this, it is years of one side keeping the other out of power and in poverty. It is sad that so many people on all sides are getting killed, but in the scope of wars, overs 2% of the worlds poupulation was killed in world war 2. And in Vietnam we lost 58,000 men. We can only hope for a good outcome for all this blood.

I went to war in '63 to fight for the freedom of America and spent two tours in 'Nam, was wounded twice. I was a flag waver.
When I came home in '66 I was spat on, called a baby killer, had pop bottles thrown at me, had to wear civvies coming home, couldn't even wear my uniform I was so proud of.
I grew up in a hurry, now it's all over and everyone sorry, to late, all my buddies are still gone, still have missing limbs, I still hurt. The politicians all got away with it, like they're doing now, who's paying for it? How many made fortunes from it?
What Country is next, who's grandchild is next to be "honored" with the flag for saving America. I'm sorry but, this is the forth or fifth time I've seen it, it will happen again.

They died for not something, because of the fact they died for an pointless warfare. First Bush informed us Saddam has WMD's.... We went there, there have been none. Then he comes up with yet another reason, that it is for Iraqi freedom.. even though it hasn't gotten any further suitable nonetheless. the infantrymen are brave, sure, yet their deaths have been for not something and all because of the fact Bush made a heck of a dumb decision.

Hugh, you're a moron.
Those of us who lived through vietnam seem to be the only ones who recognize the similarities.
And if you think 3k isn't so bad because 56k is a lot worse, then perhaps you can discuss this with the families of those who died.
You chickenhawks seem to think iraq is serving some useful purpose and it just plain isn't. These men aren't dying to protect your freedoms, they're dying because bush is using them as toy soldiers in his little games. "Fight then there or fight them here!" BOOM! That was a good'n! "Mess with my daddy, will you?" BOOM! Wow look at all the little arms and legs flying through the air! "Stay the course" BOOM! Lets's send some more over there!
Use your freagin HEAD! What did iraq have to do with 9/11? Why was afghanistan an afterthought? But MOSTLY ask yourself WHY DID 9/11 HAPPEN AT ALL???????

You goddamned pansies swallow everything the bush press feeds you....well eat THIS!

Update:
Wendy, you don't have the foggiest idea what you're talking about. If you read what I wrote and somehow magically came up with the idea that I don't respect our military, then you have a severe, and I do mean SEVERE, problem with comprehension.
I *WAS* a soldier from 1966-69, lady, so don't give me your 3rd grade rah-rah schoolgirl speeches about what its all about.

Are you kidding me? If the blood spilled of our mothers, daughters, sons, fathers, must I go on, are for nothing to you then maybe you should bemoan your complaints to the children and families of the Americans who were slain by insurgents, of which said insurgents are the same who force extreme violence on their own homeland, because they have different religious beliefs. I can't even believe you are supporting a group or following of such insane motivations as to kill people, because their "God" said so. SO you think we should just leave them alone, and let them just freakin kill thousands of innocent people here in America, say in.... I don't know next time it be in- Eau Claire Wisconsin, because they aren't Muslim? Seriously, don't disgrace what those extraordinary men and women have done for our freedom-YOUR FREEDOM, and mine. Take a look at history, sir you will see many a men slain, right here on our own soil man fighting man, so that the foundation that our country is based on may hold it's integrity, so that all men would be created equal, your own blood line, had died for your freedom, now you have the audacity to ridicule the very same character of man that is securing your children and grandchildren's freedom and safety, you should be ashamed, and you need a wake up call. How bout you go live over their and be hunted for dead, because you like to eat Whoppers.... Than come back and complain, you are a disgrace, you are a part of the ungrateful few who do not appreciate what American Soldiers do for you, and this country, and all that aside, I don't care if they are fighting over what color Rainbow Brights hair should be, they are your fellow Americans, risking and sacrificing their lives daily, for something they believe in, who cares if you believe in it, but you do OWE them respect and support, because those men and woman are your brothers and sisters, dying for the luxuries you are enjoying this minute....

Everything about America and Iraq has been a disaster and the rest of the world is laughing at America, but they are too stupid to realise this.

Stop pretending like you care about the Iraqi people. You believe they should still be under Saddam's dictatorship.
