how do you defeat the sorrow in metal gear solid 3?

You don't actually defeat The Sorrow. Remember, he's a ghost. This talk of grenades and handkerchiefs is nonsense. In order to clear the battle, you literally do nothing. Just keep walking... and walking... and walking. Once you finally come to the end of the battle and The Sorrow 'kills' you, bring up your item menu. Remember that little pill that you've always had on you that you never found a use for? Use it and you can continue the game.

well i played mgs3[se] in 2004 so i dont remmember to much but i think i kept dougding his attack and kept shootinig in his head.
